Mountain Info

Welcome to McIntyre Ski Area: McIntyre Ski Area is southern New Hampshire’s winter playground! Thousands of children and adults have enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at McIntyre since the chairlift began turning in 1971. The school opened up 7 years later, and we’ve been your learn-to-ski/ride mountain ever since.

As the ski & snowboard school continued to expand, the need for a retail/rental shop was in high demand. In 1996, McIntyre Ski School, Inc., a private organization, opened the doors to the retail/rental shop and provided the patrons of McIntyre with a place to purchase skis, snowboards, boots, and winter essentials. We continue to offer the best brands in the business at competitive prices.

In 2009, McIntyre Ski School Inc. took over operations of the ski area from the City of Manchester. Since then, the area has seen vast improvements, including: an 8-lane tubing Thrill Hill with conveyor lift, two conveyor lifts for the Beginner Areas, updated terrain park, new snow-making & grooming equipment, and a new 9,000 sq ft. lodge.

In 2017, McIntyre Ski School, Inc. changed ownership with long time President and General Manager, Ross Boisvert taking over and reestablishing as McIntyre Ski Area, LLC. Ross Boisvert has been a huge part of McIntyre since 1983 by starting out as a ski instructor and then working his way up to Snowsports Director in 1989. Thirty years later in 2009 he became General Manager and President of McIntyre Ski Area. Ross has big plans to make McIntyre the best it can be for all types of guests not just in the winter months but in the summer as well with the opening of “The Hill Bar & Grille” is anticipated for the summer of 2020!
